The practice operates a full appointments system. We offer a range of appointment times throughout the week. We are also able to offer evening appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays at Arbury Road, however these are for routine issues only. We also have bookable appointments in the evenings and weekends at our extended access service which is held at Nuffield Road Medical Centre.
Our appointments are available to book up to two months in advance with all members of the clinical team and can be booked using our online system or by contacting the reception team.
If you need urgent on the day treatment we require you to telephone our reception team on 01223 364 433, they will ask you some more questions about your clinical need, and if needed they will place you into our telephone triage system. You will be treated by the Duty Clinician team that day, not necessarily your own GP.
When you call in, the receptionist will require details from you regarding the issue; this information will be passed to the clinical team who will then telephone you back to discuss the issue. Sometimes clinicians are happy to treat and prescribe for you over the telephone however at times they deem it necessary to see you and will arrange an appointment time for this to take place. You should expect your call back from the clinician within 1-3 hours.
Please note this service is for urgent medical issues only. Requests for medication and/or fit notes will be passed to your own GP and dealt with within 48hours. Alternately you can contact the prescription team on 01223 321 673 for medication queries and issues.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to someone else and rearrange yours if required.
All downstairs rooms are accessible in a wheelchair. Dr. Fisher and Dr. Watson usually see patients upstairs. If you need to be seen downstairs for any reason, please let the reception team know at the time of booking or as soon as possible so that other arrangements can be made. Toilet facilities are available for disabled patients. For the hearing impaired, we have two fixed induction loops at reception and a portable induction loop for use during consultations. Please ask the reception team for any assistance you may require.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required. Please contact the reception team for further details or discuss with the clinician you are details.
